The flexibility and versatility of German soprano Eva-Maria Hartmann and her unmistakable artistic personality enable her to shine and convince in a wide-ranging repertoire, which - often in her own unique programmatic concepts - includes art song and opera as well as chansons and jazz standards.Opera roles that the young singer has embodied on stage include Mimi in Puccini`s La Bohème, the title role Marenka in Smetana`s The Bartered Bride and A Woman in Schönbergs monodrama Erwartung. Her concert and sacred repertoire encompass works by Bach, Haydn, Mendelssohn, Orff and others; in June 2024 she made her debut in Mendelssohn`s Elijah at the renowned Rheingau Musik Festival to critical acclaim, praised by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung as “highly versatile in terms of colour”. She also has a particular love and care for art song; in this field, she has worked for many years with the pianists Hilko Dumno and Cornelis Witthoefft, with recitals at the Frankfurt Opera and the Goethe House in Frankfurt, among others. After completing her Bachelor`s degree at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts under Prof. Bernhard Jaeger-Böhm, Eva-Maria Hartmann studied for a Master`s degree at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts under Prof. Thilo Dahlmann and received important impulses at various masterclasses with Brigitte Fassbaender, Petra Lang, Hedwig Fassbender and Dunja Vejzovíc.
